工作坊帶領：達倫・多奈爾（加拿大重要社會藝術團體 「哺乳動物潛水反射反應」劇團藝術及研究總監）

用你從未想過，或者想過卻沒嘗試過的方式，再次認識日常生活中的人事物，重新梳展好近又好遠的生活圈。「哺乳動物潛水反射反應Mammalian Diving Reflex, MDR」劇團是加拿大重要的社會藝術團體，結合理論研究和田野實踐，創作出許多好玩俏皮卻能激起思考辯論的作品。內容反應當代社會複雜的面向，至今已受邀到全世界超過八十個城市，與不同文化的當地社群協作，進行創作、演出或研發計畫。

本次工作坊由MDR藝術及研究總監達倫・多奈爾Darren O’Donnell帶領。多奈爾本人寫小說、散文、劇本，曾擔任影片導演、表演導演。大學主修演戲，碩士念城市規劃。他將嚴謹的社會科學研究方法帶入藝術創作，為不同的文化機構提供諮詢顧問，幫助機構和當地社區連結。他2018的新書《一種新的社會契約：兒童美髮師及其他證據Haircuts by Children and Other Evidence for a New Social Contract》，用創新的角度，倡議基進的文化平權，希望為年輕人創造新的世界公民角色。

四天的工作坊中，多奈爾將根據他發展多年且持續試驗的「社會針灸」理論和方法，引導學員經由討論、案例研究、構思、實作測試等步驟，親身走進社會的實驗場，邀請陌生或熟悉的鄰里，共構一場好玩的參與式活動。

Workshop leader: Darren O’Donnell, Artistic and Research Director of Mammalian Diving Reflex (MDR) – a renowned Canadian social art group

Use methods that you have never thought of nor tried before to relearn and re-shape your social circle. Mammalian Diving Reflex, an important social art group from Canada, by combining theoretical research and field practices, the company creates playful yet provocative art projects which respond to the complexity of contemporary society. The company has been invited to more than eighty cities around the world, developing and implementing performances and research projects with communities of different cultural background.

Compelling Telling, Intervening in Public Places is a workshop led by Darren O’Donnell, the artistic and research director of MDR. Darren is an urban cultural planner, novelist, essayist, playwright, filmmaker, and performance director. With a M.Sc. in urban planning, he brings a rigorous and robust social scientific approach to his art-making and consulting practice, and helps organizations connect with their locale. His latest book Haircuts by Children and Other Evidence for a New Social Contract is an innovative proposal for the radical inclusion of children. He insists that working with kids in the cultural industries can be a pilot for a vision of a very different role for young people in the world.

Focused on the basics of Darren’s social acupuncture method, the workshop will encourage participants to engage and interact with the public in innovative ways. Through detailed theory, case studies, exercises, discussions and the designing and testing of performance moments, participants will gain tools and ideas for developing a playful and social-specific participatory performance with people in the neighborhood.

1. 工作坊全程以英語進行，中文逐步翻譯。

2. 學員上限20人。特別推薦對參與式藝術、社區營造、社會設計有興趣的人。研究者、創作者、製作人、社會實踐工作者（如公民團體、社運組織），皆適合。

3. 參加方式：免學費，需繳交2,500元全勤保證金。

4. 報名期間：即日起網路報名，額滿為止。

5. 請於收到確認email後的三天內，轉帳或匯款全勤保證金（匯款資料將於通知email內載明），若未能於期限內繳費視同放棄，名額將釋出。
