夜深人靜，府城四大月老把酒臨風，互相吹噓自己一年功績。大天后宮月老自負一年能牽就三百多樁姻緣，自認是四位月老中最有成就的。武廟月老不服氣，指責大天后宮月老常因貪杯誤事，亂牽姻緣線，得靠他手裡拐杖，棒打爛桃花，婚姻才得善終。一旁重慶寺月老以擁有法寶醋矸為重，認為夫妻、情侶間勃谿如無醋矸幫忙，及「速報司」迅速通達，根本無法促成美眷。大觀音亭的月老直嚷著如果沒有他這張「闊嘴」能說善道，推波助瀾，婚姻哪能成事。就這樣誰也不服誰，吵得不可開交。前來做客的孟婆出了一個主意，挑出府城裡最難有姻緣的四名男女，讓四名月老各顯神威，看誰先幫他們取得姻緣者，勝出！

Four major Yue Lao of old Tainan City were boasting about their achievements for the past year in late night. Yue Lao of Tainan Grand Matsu Temple had matched more than 300 couples and claimed that he had contributed the most among them all. Yue Lao of the Martial Art Temple disagreed with the statement made by the Yue Lao of Tainan Grand Matsu Temple, and blamed him on screwing his job by drinking too much wine. Yue Lao of the Martial Art Temple believed he saved many marriages by breaking the

bad romance made by Yue Lao of Tainan Grand Matsu Temple. Yue Lao of Chongqing Temple argued he had made great contribution on repairing the broken relationship between couples. The Yue Lao of Tainan Grand Guanyin Temple kept saying without his glib tongue no couple could be matched. They had an intense quarrel when Meng Po arrived. She asked them to help match four men and women who have the least chance to fall in love. The one who succeed first wins the game.

【鶯藝歌劇團】成立於1971年，團主林金鶯長期致力於歌仔戲推廣與薪傳，以維持歌仔戲文化堅韌的生命力，至今團員已傳至第三代，是典型的戲曲世家。成員羅文君、羅文惜、羅育忠從小生長歌仔戲家族，扎實的功底及獨特嗓音，在劇界表現相當亮眼。鶯藝歌劇團1994年帶團往新加坡韮菜芭城隍廟公演26天，開啟了臺灣劇團於新加坡城隍廟長期演出的濫觴。於2013連續三年獲選為臺南市傑出演藝團隊，秉持傳承發揚的精神，希望藉著劇團的運作，與時代同步邁進製作及演出更多的精緻好戲，讓歌仔戲生機盎然、生生不息。

Ying-Yi Taiwanese Opera Troupe was founded in 1971. Its director, Lin Chin-ying has committed to popularize and passed down the art of Taiwanese Opera for a long time. The troupe runs by the Lo family has a long history on performing Taiwanese Opera. They aim to keep the vitality of Taiwanese Opera culture. Grown up with this background, Lo Wen-chun, Lo Wen-hsi and Lo Yu-chung have been trained well, and with solid performance experiences as well as unique voices, they become leading characters in this field. In 1994, the troupe performed 26 days in Seng Hong Temple in Singapore, and that was a beginning of a Taiwanese troupe to stay in Seng Hong Temple in Singapore for long term residence performance. It has been approved by Tainan City Government as Outstanding Performing Art Group since 2013. It wishes to keep the vitality of Taiwanese Opera and passes down its spirit by making as many good productions as possible.
