三個房間展演羅生門式的三種視角

《感傷之旅》取名自攝影師荒木經惟的同名作品。演出啟發自2018年#metoo事件延燒中,藝術作品在創作過程中所涉及的「藝術倫理」與「藝術犯罪」議題。
此作為劇場編導、跨域藝術家黃思農,拓展其「聲響劇場」、「漫遊者劇場」的創作脈絡,於台南老爺行旅進行一次一個觀眾獨自體驗的環境劇場,在台南老爺行旅的三個房間,以羅生門式的三種不同視角,如偵探般閱讀空間裡一宗拍攝事件所留下的各種「痕跡」。

‘Just as a camera is a sublimation of the gun, to photograph someone is a subliminal murder - a soft murder, appropriate to a sad, frightened time.’– Susan Sontag, On Photography Sentimental Journey is named after photographer Nobuyoshi Araki’s work with the same title. Inspired by the Me Too Movement in 2018, the performance looks into the issues involved in the creative process such as the relations between art, morality and crime.
Set in The Place Tainan (hotel), the environmental theatre production is an extension of playwright and theatre director Snow HUANG’s “Sound Theatre” and “Promenade Theatre.” As a homage to Rashomon, Sentimental Journey is presented in three rooms set up from three points of view, and only one audience is allowed in a room at one time to examine the traces left by what happened in the incident.

再拒劇團Against-Again Troupe
再拒劇團2002年由台灣80後世代不同領域藝術家組成,早年從事環境劇、詩劇、多媒材劇場,探索全球化影響下該世代的性別、階級處境與生存意識,並以劇場、音樂演出、展覽、獨立劇展策畫等各種創作型態推出製作,近年多部作品聚焦於「聲音劇場」的美學實踐。
再拒劇團全名為「再一次拒絕長大劇團」,源於亞洲許多神話中關於「童神」的記述,其中台灣重要的民間信仰神祇「哪吒」,更以破壞殺戮、剔骨割肉的自伐與弒父故事的形象著稱。「再一次拒絕長大」意味著在幕啟幕落、場燈明滅之間,劇場做為一種即生即死的藝術體驗 一 如「忿怒哪吒」現真實身,合該摧毀感官固定的接收模式,而劇場表現的原點,亦不啻為永恆年輕的童子,在死亡與重生的意念中輪轉。
有別於劇本先行的劇場創作,再拒劇團的作品多從不同演出概念、創作方法、視覺意象或媒材屬性出發進行創作,許多作品將空間、音樂或物件視為「文本」。2007年開始的兩年一次的環境劇場劇展《公寓聯展》,再拒劇團提出「微型劇場」宣言,將亞洲高度資本化下狹小的公寓空間做為排練和演出場域,改變既定的觀演關係及藝術經驗。2012年《接下來,是一些些消亡》則承接並延伸「微型劇場」概念,在台北、澳門及英國卡爾地夫舉辦的劇場設計展等多處另類空間,演出「無演員」的多媒體藝術劇展。同年,以第三世界從事代工業和服務業的青年勞動處境為本的《美國夢工廠》,參與東京藝術節 (F/T) 的「新銳公募」,透過12段互文交織的集合夢境,在表演者重複而機械性的動作中,創造一座名為「夢工廠」的符號迷宮。2014年開始的一系列作品如《諸神黃昏》、《渾沌詞典:補遺》,則為集體創作模式發展的一系列「聲音劇場」創作,在以「聽覺」為美學表現主體的前提下,據每次不同的演出主題,將音樂演奏、人聲、聲音操作視為具劇場性的身體表演與視覺語言,並以此形構演出敘事。同年,再拒劇團成立子團「前叛逆男子」,從 ACG 文化而生的 2.5 次元 BL 劇場《新社員》開始,陸續將後龐克、華麗搖滾、ACG、賽博龐克、camp等各種次文化元素結合當代劇場,去創造屬於台灣年輕世代,中文語境的音樂劇,在台灣劇場界創下「粉絲文化」的風潮。
從小型前衛創作、非制式劇場空間演出的跨域作品到中大型劇場製作,再拒劇團持續尋找與實踐劇場藝術如何在抵拒全球資本主義文化均質化現象(homogeneity)及去政治後現代美學中,逃離失語狀態的可能。
Against-Again Troupe was founded in 2002 in Taiwan by a group of theatre practitioners coming from diverse artistic backgrounds. Our productions range from theatre, musical performances, to exhibitions and small-scale performance festivals. Major works lie in the field of site-specific theatre, music theatre and performance poetry, implementing objects, sound, and multimedia to create performance pieces infused with collage, repetition, alienation, and non-narrative text. A large portion of our work is socially conscious and issue-related. Through art we attempt to examine the human condition in our age of globalization, in regards to class, gender, identity and survival.
The literal translation of AAT’s mandarin name – zai yi tsi ju jue zhang da – is “to refuse, once again, to grow up." The archetype of the child-god is found in many Asian mythologies from China to India. In Taiwanese folk religion, Nezha is the child-trickster, embodying destruction and noted for his stories of violence and patricide. We believe that the ephemeral act of theatre is akin to the anger of Nezha, inclined to disrupt our habits of sensory perception, and to be the eternal child, forever walking between the lines of death and rebirth.
The recent works of AAT are focused on experimentation with space, objects and sound. Our biennial Apartment Showcase transforms the compact living quarters of urban capitalist Asia into a space for site-specific theatre and a playground for experimenting with performer/spectator relations. Kuroshio and Götterdämmerung are collaborative works of music theatre, redefining the execution of actions as performance and channeling the performative qualities of sound, objects and music. All that’s left to happen is some deaths (my own included), created in 2012, is a performance without actors, as well as a series of ventures into the concept of micro-theatre, constantly reinventing itself as it travels through alternative venues from Taipei, Hualian, Gaoxiong, Tainan to Macau and to the World Stage Design festival in Cardiff. The same year, American Dream Factory, was performed at Festival Tokyo (F/T). Through ten scenes of interwoven dreams, this show explores global capitalism as collective mythology, and how theatre art can find new forms of resistance and communication within a world of popular culture, institutions and post modernity.
黃思農
黃思農是劇場、當代藝術、聲響與音樂的跨域創作者。20歲時創立再拒劇團並擔任團長至今17年,歷年曾擔任過多齣劇場編導、劇場及電影作曲者、聲音藝術家、記者、策展人、藝穗節駐節藝評、樂手、戲劇顧問......等多重角色。
2007年黃思農發表「微型劇場」宣言以回應80年代以降的台灣小劇場運動,並策劃第一屆「公寓聯展」,該劇展在亞洲特有的狹小居住空間舉辦劇展,並以雙年展的方式延續至今。2008年創作結合現場音樂與錄像裝置的反烏托邦劇《忘》,參與動見体「漢字寓言:未來系青年觀點報告」與澳門「牛房劇季」,09年擔任台灣最重要的獨立媒體《破報》的特約記者。2010年則編導《美國夢工廠》,以12個夢境和12首歌曲形塑異化的「景觀社會」及當代亞洲勞動青年的處境,演出入選2012東京藝術節(F/T)「新銳公募」。
2014年在策展人鴻鴻邀請下參與並籌劃再拒劇團《諸神黃昏》,以無導演的跨域集體創作將台灣的立院佔領事件,賦予華格納指環四部曲的終局《諸神黃昏》當代觀點詮釋,該劇也開啟黃思農這些年在美術館、環境劇場的多齣「聲音劇場」創作,所有的音樂演奏、聲音執行皆成為身體性(physical movement)的劇場表演,圍繞「聲響」開發的各種劇場美學表現成為敘事軸心,該演出獲WSD世界劇場設計展聲音設計金獎。
近兩年黃思農推出一系列觀眾於城市獨自步行體驗的無人表演「漫遊者劇場」,該計劃結合實存城市地景與虛構偵探文本,以聲檔的方式召喚城市的記憶。2017年擔任音樂劇《春醒》的作曲與戲劇顧問,該演出為華文世界對此被禁演多年的德國青少年經典,唯一重新譜曲改編的當代改編。8月受邀於台北市立美術館「社交場」開幕演出《Concert ofPerformance Preview》,設計了一個兼具圖像譜和樂器的聲音裝置,將企業圖表與統計分析語言轉譯為演出的動作及聲音指示,並受邀參與2018橫濱藝術集會(TPAM)演出。
2017年黃思農與何采柔受大臺北當代藝術雙年展「空氣草」邀請共同創作《254yen》,以一位曾闖入展場之閒置替代空間居住的遊民,其所遺留的生活作為創作文本,2018年黃思農應墨西哥Vernacular Institute邀請於墨西哥城發表《Cocina Silenciosa: cuestiones postcoloniales de la comida y la memoria 後殖民食物與記憶》的複合媒材,並擔任香港前進進劇團20週年港台共製演出《大驅離》編劇。2019年編導作品《渾沌詞典》受邀參與PQ布拉格劇場設計四年展。
